Namaste Village

An Episcopal / Anglican Inspired Retirement Community

Somewhere between Heaven and Earth

Namaste Village in Ajijic, Mexico is a vibrant interfaith community founded in 2008 by New York Times bestselling author and Episcopal Franciscan friar Br. James Francis Twyman. If you're looking to retire in a loving and supportive environment while spending a quarter of what you would need to spend in North America, this might be your next home.

The Lake Chapala region has the second best weather on the planet according to NatGeo, was voted the number one place in the world to retire on a budget by CBS News, and is the biggest ex-pat community for Americans and Canadians in the world. The area is also extremely safe.

Namaste Village is comprised of 41 apartments or casitas in a variety of different sizes. Our independent living model is for people who are active, but as your physical requirements increase we have a structure to serve your needs. With a live in nurse and doctors on call, as well as top hospitals nearby, you can feel secure and well cared for.

Please watch the video below to see if you’re called to join us. Then schedule a visit. If you would like more information please send an email to Manager.Namaste.Village@gmail.com.
